Tatale-Sanguli DCE commissions CPAs and FSAs to strengthen district security

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tatale-Sanguli, Mary Tagba, has officially handed over a newly commissioned batch of Community Police Assistants (CPAs) and Fire Service Assistants (FSAs) to the District Police Command to bolster security and emergency response in the area.

Of the 66 personnel, 54 are Community Police Assistants, while 14 are Fire Service Assistants. They will work alongside the Police and Fire Service to maintain law and order and respond to emergencies in the district.

Addressing the recruits during the ceremony, the DCE urged them to serve diligently and avoid misconduct.

“Do not wear the uniform and sit at home thinking because your party is in power. Serve the District and Ghana at large, enhance development, and make the District proud,” she said.

She further clarified that the recruits are auxiliaries, not trained Police officers, and are expected to assist in maintaining peace and stability.

“Anyone whose actions tarnish the image of the party will be dismissed and replaced immediately,” she warned.

The District Youth Organiser and YEA Coordinator, Susu Collins, encouraged the assistants to take their duties seriously.

“Most of you may be recruited into the Police Service depending on your qualifications and the quality of service you render as CPAs,” he said.

The District Police Commander, Superintendent Awal Adamu, who received the recruits, pledged to collaborate with them in safeguarding the district while cautioning against indiscipline.

“We will work with you to protect the people of Tatale-Sanguli, but indiscipline will not be tolerated,” Superintendent Adamu stressed.

This initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen security and safety in the Tatale-Sanguli District.
