Following a temporary production halt prompted by FDA safety concerns, Nutrifoods, producers of Tasty Tom Tomato Mix, has resumed operations with a renewed commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

The resumption prompted several consumers to visit the factory for a firsthand tour of how their favorite Tasty Tom Tomato Mix is produced. Visitors expressed satisfaction with the enhanced safety and quality measures, commending the company’s renewed dedication to upholding the highest standards.

The visit helped rebuild public confidence in one of Ghana’s most trusted tomato brands, with many urging others to keep enjoying their favorite Tasty Tom Tomato Mix.

Upon entering the factory, it was evident that stringent safety and hygiene protocols have been implemented to ensure a clean and secure environment for producing your favorite Tasty Tom Enriched Tomato Mix.

Every stage of production, from the paste and cans to the packaging materials, undergoes thorough laboratory testing, including advanced microbiological analysis, to guarantee product integrity and eliminate any risk of leakage.

The production line now operates with minimal human contact, reinforcing the company’s commitment to maintaining world-class food safety standards.

NB: Nutrifoods Ghana Limited, a joint venture between Olam and Sanyo, officially received clearance from the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on September 12, 2025, to resume operations.

The company has since opened its doors to the public, inviting consumers every Thursday to tour the factory and witness firsthand how their trusted tomato mix is carefully produced.
