This was during the 2020 edition of Adom Praiz which happened to be a virtual concert in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Clad in its classy 25th Multimedia anniversary cloth, the choir lighten up spirits with soul captivating performance.

Energetic Sarah Opare led the choir to minister medley of songs and it felt like she had another hidden talent in her because she performed flawlessly.

She had always been heard on TV and radio but Gifty Andoh Appiah also took her turn to show off her other side as a lead singer.

The choir, during the night, delivered songs with mixed tempos ranging from local gospel to foreign.

Award-winning artiste, Joe Mettle’s famous everything was not left out coupled with Akese Brempong’s crazy love.

The instrumentalists did not also disappoint as they express their God-giving talents behind the drums, guitar, keyboard and other instruments.

They enjoyed the ministration as much as patrons and displayed wild dance skills on stage.

The journalists turned musicians put up a splendid performance befitting to mark the 10^th anniversary of Ghana’s biggest musical concert.

Wearing white on their blue jeans, they kept patrons on their toes from the beginning of their performance till the end.

The patrons couldn’t hold it and like Oliver Twist asked for more from the choir which had barely two weeks to prepare.

They have charged up the Perez Dome for very exciting performances from veteran gospel musicians like Prof. Kofi Abraham, Yaw Agyeman Badu, Cindy Thompson, Yaw Sarpong, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Obaapa Christie, Kwaku Gyasi Francis Amo, Joe Mettle and Bethel Revival choir.

The annual Adom Praiz concert is powered by Ghana’s number one radio station, Adom 106.3 FM and just like promised, the show is living up to expectation.

Singing their new single, Victory, for the first time, they madethe elderly young and the young were made ever more energetic.

They danced with grace to the sound made by guitar, bass, drum, accordion and a grooved wooden instrument.

With as low as ¢60, attendees were each given a laissez-passer into the heart of miracles and the amity between themselves and God ever strengthened.

The praises and worship were never enough after the event as attendees continued to sing on their way home; it was simply musical.

KABA and George Hansen were at the peak of their careers. The former, was a prolific radio presenter, and the latter a dexterous sales executive. But their lives ended too abruptly, leaving their colleagues hurt and distraught.

If The Multimedia Group was a mother, she would be mourning the death of a husband, a son at the same time, in the same year.

But in the darkest hour of grief came a sudden surge in strength; bolstered by the enduring belief and Joy in the Lord. In unity came victory and in victory came a new song and The Multimedia Choir was there.

The company has, through the choir, picked itself up from the ashes of pain and heartache death brought, to a place of celebration.

Now, the choir wants to share that joy with the rest of the world. Their very maiden single, titled ‘Victory’ featuring Calvis Hammond and Omari Kissi was birthed in a difficult period to uplift the brokenhearted and also thank God for His grace.

The song was composed and arranged by Groovy Eye (George Addo Jnr) with inspiration for the Psalm 116-3-4, which says;

the anguish of the grave came over me;

I was overcome by distress and sorrow.

4. Then I called on the name of the LORD:

The nondenominational Christian music group is largely made up of team members of The Multimedia Group in Accra. CEO of the group, Kwasi Twum has been a staunch supporter of the choir from its inception and has members sing at various Company events.

Music Director, George Addo Jnr, says the journey has been a difficult one but the group is comforted by the milestone that has been achieved.

“We have come through the period because He was our shield but singing and chanting Victory was the trick during the period.

One of the Founding members of the choir, Samuel Duowona said without God’s grace in healing the wounded, the Company couldn’t have carried on.

“Despite our challenges we continue to press hard, we are grateful for this gift and we are confident it will be a huge blessing.”

The Multimedia Choir is looking forward to the release of the song on August 1, 2018, when it will be aired on all Multimedia platforms.
