According to reports, the suspect, who resides in the same community, reportedly lured the boy into his room and attacked him.

The boy’s family became concerned when they noticed changes in his walking and rushed him to the Methodist Hospital in Ankaase, Afigya Kwabre South District.

Medical staff confirmed he had sustained serious injuries and commenced treatment. He has since been discharged but continues to attend daily medical reviews.

Tests for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections have also been conducted.

The suspect, identified as Kwadwo Aning, has been arrested by police in Mamponteng, with investigations ongoing.

Members of the local youth have expressed outrage, claiming the accused has a history of similar offences and are demanding swift justice.

The boy’s family is appealing for financial assistance to cover his medical expenses while urging authorities to ensure the perpetrator is held accountable.

A female Police officer has reportedly committed suicide at Mamponteng in Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

The deceased has only been identified as Corporal Boakye.

It is unclear the reason for the action.

However, a video shared by Kumasi-based Angel FM captured a team from the Crime Scene Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in her home.

Neighbours and relatives were seen wailing as the body was been moved out of the house into a pick-up vehicle to the mortuary.
