Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of TESCON executives at Ghana Communication Technology University(GCTU), Mr. Asante emphasized the critical role of student activists in shaping the party’s future.

He called on TESCON members across various campuses to be proactive in communicating the party’s vision, assuring them of his unflinching support in providing training and guidance to those willing to step up.

Further, he charged the newly inducted executives to embark on an aggressive membership drive and establish a comprehensive database of all TESCON members.

This, he explained, would ensure proper coordination and strategic planning to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilization efforts.

Mr. Asante also underscored the long-term benefits of active participation in TESCON, affirming that it serves as a stepping stone to leadership within the NPP.

He cited prominent figures such as Bantama MP; Francis Asenso Boakye, former Sports Minister; Isaac Kwame Asiamah, Damango MP; Samuel Abu Jinapor, Akuapem North MP; Sammy Awuku, NPP General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, NPP Organiser; Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), Nhyiaeso MP; Stephen Amoah to mention but just a few as shining examples of former TESCON members who have risen to key positions within the party and in government.

Krobea supported the GCTU TESCON with an undisclosed amount and expressed gratitude to all participants and urged them to brace themselves for the crucial task ahead.

He stressed that their dedication and hard work would be the fulcrum of securing victory for the NPP.

The donation was made on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Nkawkaw party office and Afosu Durbar grounds, respectively.

This support forms part of his personal initiative to provide support for the party’s communicators to motivate and enable them to continue to propagate and promote the good works of government and also promote the Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates for the upcoming elections in December.

Krobea also presented one (1) mobile phone to the leader of the Volunteers group in the Abirem constituency as a recognition of her selfless and committed efforts toward the campaign.

About two months ago, Krobea met with the communicators of the Abirem constituency including all the serial callers and gave them some lump sums to support and motivate them.

He also pledged to support the communicators in Abirem with monthly stipends until the elections.

“It is my hope and expectation that this kind gesture will motivate the beneficiaries to work harder for the party towards breaking the 8 agenda” Krobea noted.

Both the Communications Officers of the Nkawkaw and Abirem Constituencies on behalf of their members expressed their heartfelt appreciation for such great recognition and support.

They also promised to continue to visit every nook and cranny to continue to propagate the enviable records of government and the Bold Solutions manifesto of Dr Bawumia for electoral victory in December.

 Mr Asante was at the ceremony with NPP’s national treasurer, other deputy national communications directors (Asiedu Kokuro and Hajia Rabi), the deputy national women organiser, Mimi Duah and a host of other senior party members.
 
He thanked the outgoing executives for their stewardship of the party and congratulated the new executives on their successful elections.

This comes after the NPP appointed a new set of persons to serve as deputies to its newly elected National Executives.

The appointment, according to the release on August, 26, was to support with the running of affairs of the party.

In a statement issued by Evans Osei Yeboah Tsooboi, the ER Communications directorate congratulated Mr Krobea on his new role.

“Mr Krobea has been a valuable member of the region’s communications team over the last decade and has contributed immensely to its growth and relevance over the years,” the directorate noted.

The Eastern Regional Communications Directorate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) congratulates Mr. Krobea Asante on his appointment as Deputy National Communications Director.

Mr. Krobea has been a valuable member of the region’s communications team over the last decade and has contributed immensely to its growth and relevance over the years.

We have no doubt whatsoever that Mr. Krobea will perform beyond expectation judging from his incredible performance in previous roles including as Head of Corporate Communications for Metro Mass Transit Ltd, Presiding Member for Birim North District Assembly, Assemblyman among others.

This was contained in a release under the hand of Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the party.

Following the elections of national officers of the party on 17th July 2022, at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra, Articles 10 and 15 of the party Constitution enjoin the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party to appoint deputy national officers, and directors and deputy directors to serve at the party’s secretariat.

This mandate, per the release supra, was concluded by the National Executive Committee on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Since the announcement of his new appointment, Mr Asante has received felicitations and endorsements from hundreds of party faithful, particularly the youth across various social media platforms.

The appointee is the assembly member of Ahenbronum Electoral Area, Akoase, Birim North District, Eastern Region, where he has chalked up some political feats as a young politician.

He is a former presiding member of the Birim North District Assembly, and a one-time organiser for the Conference of Presiding Members in the Eastern Region.

What’s more, he was a candidate for the position of the district chief executive of the Birim North District, having successfully passed the regional and national vetting processes.

Over the years, Krobea Asante has built competency in the area of communications, which was why several people considered him apt for the office he has been nominated for.

He is the head of Corporate Communications for Metro Mass Transit Ltd, a position he has held for close to five years.

Again, he is a member of the Eastern Regional Communications Team for NPP and an erstwhile Communications Officer for the Abirem Constituency New Patriotic Party in the year 2010.

In the run-up to the elections of national officers of the New Patriotic Party, 2022, he was the director for Media and Communications for the then-candidate Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) and doubled as his spokesperson.

With the experience, he has accumulated in the area of communications, and the qualified approval his appointment has provoked, there is no gainsaying that Mr Asante will make dramatic contributions to the communications machinery of the New Patriotic Party during his tenure.
