This was after he was told to park his vehicle aside in order to minimise the traffic jam at the entrance of the petrol station.

Evans Matundura appeared before Kibera Law Courts’ Senior Principal Magistrate Philip Mutua where he was charged with an offence of assault against Police Constable John Anyosa Ogweno.

The court learned that the incident took place on September 23, 2021, at Ola Petrol station along Limuru Road Parklands within Nairobi Westlands. Matundura was also accused of personating a police officer contrary to the law.

That day at about 1:00 pm, Matundura was driving within the petrol station when he suddenly caused traffic jam.

One of the security guards approached him with a request to park his vehicle aside in order to allow other motorists to get fueled easily.

He then parked his vehicle aside and went to confront the guard asking her if she knew that he was a police officer.

He then started an argument that attracted more public attention including three police officers who were in civilian clothes.

Ogweno was among the cops present and they interrogated Matundura on his workstation and number. He gave out a four-digit number as opposed to the six-digit police number saying he was officer Rono attached at the Rongai police station.

He was asked to identify himself by presenting his certificate of appointment but he failed to do so. He resisted arrest when Ogweno and his colleagues tried to handcuff him and, in the process, he ended up biting Ogweno causing him harmful injuries.

The officers however managed to arrest him and escorted him to the Parklands police station before being arraigned. The case shall be mentioned on October 12 for further directions.

The criminal went to carry out a robbery operation in the room of a 24-year-old student, identified as Juanita, at Abompey, a suburb of Obuasi.

According to her, around 2:am, an unknown man suddenly entered her room, drugged her and had forceful sex with her.

The suspect, 23-year-old Emmanuel Ankron, has been arrested and put under guard watch at the hospital.

Crime scene investigators visited the scene where the cut penis was retrieved and sent to the hospital for preservation.

A rabies infected dog has reportedly killed two people at Kasoa as 70 others battle for their lives in various hospitals in the Awutu Senya East Municipality in the central region.

Confirming the incident in an interview with Adom News, Awutu Senya East Municipal Veterinary Doctor Paa Kwesi Andoh disclosed over 70 people have been infected with rabies leaving them in critical conditions.

“We had reports of rabies infected dogs biting people in the community and as a result, we begun educating the people on the signs to look out for in a rabies infected dogs.”

“70 people have been infected within two weeks with two deaths recorded,” he said.

Meanwhile, Doctor Paa Kwesi Andoh has threatened to kill all dogs in the municipality within three weeks if dog owners fail to vaccinate their dogs.

The 24-year-old doctor bravely fought back when the man who had posed as a patient to get into the hospital tried to force his tongue into her mouth to kiss her.

The bite was so severe that part of his tongue was removed and the would-be-rapist fled the Doctors bedroom moaning in agony leaving a thick trail of blood behind.

Police who raced to the Pelonomi Tertiary Hospital in Bloemfontein put out an alert to all nearby hospitals to look out for a man seeking urgent treatment to a mouth wound.

Shortly afterward at 2 am on Tuesday medics at the National Hospital in Pelonomi reported a patient had just come in with horrific wounds to his tongue and police quickly arrested him.

The 32-year-old suspect was temporarily patched up and driven back to the scene of the attack where the victim confirmed he was her attacker and she gave a full statement.

The alleged sex attacker was then taken in cuffs to the private Universitas Hospital nearby which has a specialist plastic surgery unit where he underwent full surgery.

He will appear before magistrates in Bloemfontein when he is well enough to leave hospital.

South African Police spokesperson Colonel Thandi Mbambo said the suspect had allegedly tried to rape the doctor adding: ‘He fled the scene when the doctor bit his tongue off’.

Free State regional health department spokesperson Mr Mondli Mvambi said: ‘During the scuffle the doctor managed to bite off the tongue of the alleged perpetrator who ran off.

‘He was later arrested and then taken for plastic surgery and was operated on under police guard and he we will be handed over to be taken before a court in due course.

‘It is by the grace of God that the doctor had the strength to fight back and bite the suspects tongue off. She is currently undergoing medical tests and counselling’, he said.

The 45-year-old woman called Auntie Yaa was covered in bruises after struggling and fighting with the goat which invaded her kitchen.

A resident in the town, Abrewa Nana Kwabena Tawiah who witness the incident told Adom News the woman was driving out the goat from her kitchen when it bounced on her and bit her on the arm.

He noted that, the middle-aged woman fell on the ground and had an epileptic fit after she raised the alarm, reporting a stray black goat with large horns was attacking her.

Abrewa Nana said the struggle between the woman and the goat lasted for 30 minutes until she called for help.

Auntie Yaa, she added was rushed to the Wassa Domeabra community Sub-Clinic where she was diagnosed of epilepsy.

Also, Kwabena Evans, son of the victim who took his mother to the clinic confirmed this bizarre incident to Adom News.

He indicated that, his mother who has never suffered a seizure is now epileptic after the attack and doctors are working assiduously to stabilize her condition.

Kwabena Evans said the shocking incident which occurred in the town has left the family and residents living in fear.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time this stray black goat which is currently at large has attacked someone in the town.

Residents claim the goat knocked a 10-year-old boy in the head when he tried to drive it away from chewing his mother’s maize.

Many are reading spiritual meanings into the conduct of the strange goat which they claim has disappeared from the town.
