Swedru All Blacks will stage their home matches at the Swedru Sports Stadium in the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, the club’s Communications Director, Nathaniel Obeng, has confirmed.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in the club’s history, as they return to the Ghanaian top flight after a 16-year absence.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Obeng disclosed that major renovation works have been carried out at the stadium under the leadership of club president Stephen Atto Quayson. The upgrades were undertaken in collaboration with the National Sports Authority (NSA), from whom the club secured official clearance to proceed.
“We’ve had permission from the NSA to renovate the stadium to a level where the Club Licensing Board will permit us to host league matches there,” he said.
He added that the playing surface had seen notable improvements in recent weeks.
“Over the past month, we’ve been working on the pitch, and we’ve gotten it to a very appreciable level. When the Club Licensing Board came for their first inspection, they were satisfied with the progress,” Obeng noted.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) also provided technical support during the renovation, helping to ensure the upgrades met league standards.
To maintain the quality of the pitch throughout the season, Obeng revealed that the club has installed a new irrigation system and acquired additional polytanks.
Swedru All Blacks will be aiming to make a strong impression as they re-enter Ghana’s elite football league, backed by an upgraded home ground and a passionate fan base.
