German second division side SV Darmstadt has completed the signing of defender Patric Pfeiffer from FC Augsburg in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old, who was born in Germany, joins Darmstadt on a permanent deal after successfully passing his medical. He has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
FC Augsburg, also known as Die Fuggerstädter, are expected to receive a transfer fee of around €700,000, including performance-related add-ons.
This move marks a return to familiar territory for Pfeiffer, who previously made 80 appearances for Darmstadt between 2019 and 2023. He now returns for a second spell at the Böllenfalltor.
During his time at Augsburg, Pfeiffer featured in only 11 matches and was later loaned out to BSC Young Boys and FC Magdeburg.
Although he represented Germany at youth level, Pfeiffer switched international allegiance to Ghana in June 2022.
