The Ghana National Fire Service has announced the arrest of 21-year-old Azumah Sampson, the man suspected of stabbing a firefighter during an operation at Adjiriganor last Friday.
The incident occurred as fire crews battled a blaze that swept through parts of a two-storey, eight-room house near Ability Square.
The attack left one firefighter with serious injuries.
In a statement, the Service said its officers tracked the suspect for several days before finally apprehending him.
He has since been handed over to the Ghana Police Service and is assisting with investigations.
