A high-profile delegation from Manhyia Palace visited the Asante Kotoko SC squad on Thursday, February 12, ahead of their much-anticipated Super Clash against Accra Hearts of Oak SC on Sunday.

The group was led by the Chief of Staff of Manhyia Palace, Mr Kofi Badu, alongside Offinsomanhene Nana Dwamena Akenten II, Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, and other traditional leaders.

The visit aimed to inspire and motivate the players ahead of the showdown with their arch-rivals.

Kotoko enters the match after a challenging week, having suffered a 3-1 defeat to Heart of Lions FC and subsequently exiting the FA Cup following a 4-2 penalty shootout loss to Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The cup elimination also prompted the resignation of head coach Karim Zito.

Determined to bounce back, the Porcupine Warriors hope to reclaim pride in front of their home supporters. Kickoff for the clash is set for 17:00 GMT.
