Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has issued a bold declaration ahead of the season’s first Super Clash, insisting the team is ready to deliver a commanding performance against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians will host Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on Matchday 9 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League — a fixture that remains the biggest attraction on the domestic football calendar.
Both teams enter the clash unbeaten, setting the stage for an intense and emotionally charged encounter.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite, Opare Addo described the fixture as one of special significance for Hearts of Oak, particularly as it falls in November, the club’s founding month.
“This Super Clash in Accra won’t be easy for Asante Kotoko. Accra Hearts of Oak is ready to make a strong statement at home,” Opare Addo said.
“November, being the birth month of Accra Hearts of Oak, will have great significance in the upcoming Super Clash,” he added.
Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
