Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, has presented a cash reward of GH¢10,000 to Faith Ladies following their victory in the 2024/25 Women’s FA Cup.
The presentation was made during a courtesy call by the Dansoman-based club on Wednesday, where the team proudly displayed the trophy to the Minister in celebration of their achievement.
Hon. Adams congratulated the players and technical team for their remarkable performance, describing their triumph as a moment of national pride.
“I want to commend you all for winning the FA Cup; you have done Ghana proud,” he said. “Women’s football is growing rapidly, and it’s encouraging to see clubs like Faith Ladies leading the way. The government and the Ghana Football Association are fully committed to supporting female players and the development of women’s football across the country.”
He encouraged the team to stay focused and committed to excellence.
“Keep the hope alive and continue to put in the hard work. Your dedication inspires many young girls and women in Ghana,” he added.
The Minister also pledged continued government support to help the team grow and achieve more success.
Solomon Mordey, Acting Manager of Faith Ladies, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and donation. He also appealed for support in securing a new team bus, which had previously been promised by the Ghana Football Association.
“We appreciate your encouragement and assistance, and we look forward to working together to achieve even greater successes,” he said.
