Sophia Momodu, entrepreneur and mother of singer Davido’s first daughter, has once again grabbed headlines after throwing a subtle jab at the award-winning artiste.
During a live interaction on social media, fans asked Sophia whether she intended to give her 10-year-old daughter, Imade Adeleke, a sibling anytime soon.
In a tongue-in-cheek response, she laughed off the question, saying there was no pressure because Imade already has “like 15,000 siblings.”
“She has like 15,000 siblings. I’m good. I don’t need to rush into anything,” she stated, drawing laughter from her viewers while making a point that many interpreted as a veiled reference to Davido’s growing number of children from different women.
While some fans applauded Sophia for her wit, others—particularly members of Davido’s 30 Billion Gang fanbase—were not pleased with what they viewed as unnecessary shade.
Social media has been buzzing with debates, with some accusing her of using sarcasm to stir drama, while others have defended her right to express herself without being shamed or pressured into motherhood.
This isn’t the first time the dynamic between Sophia and Davido has drawn public attention, but her recent comments have reignited conversations around co-parenting.
As of now, neither Davido nor his camp has issued a response, but the digital streets remain ablaze.
