The Chief of Sokode-Juaso near Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region, Dr. Barimah Kwabena Awuah Parker I, has called on traditional leaders across Ghana to uphold the dignity, integrity, and values of the chieftaincy institution.

He made the call after being honoured by the Chief of Adukrom and Nifahene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V, in recognition of his exemplary leadership and commitment to community development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Barimah Kwabena Awuah Parker I emphasized the crucial role chiefs play as custodians of culture, peace, and unity, urging traditional authorities to preserve the rich customs and traditions handed down through generations.

“The chieftaincy institution is a cornerstone of our society. It is our duty to lead with integrity and protect our cultural heritage,” he stated.

He further encouraged Ghanaian youth to embrace hard work and shun the pursuit of quick wealth.

According to him, many young people are increasingly seeking instant success through shortcuts rather than patiently working towards their goals.

He advised the youth to remain disciplined, respect their elders, and avoid illicit drugs, stressing that hard work, perseverance, and strong moral values remain the surest path to sustainable success.

The honour bestowed on Dr. Barimah Kwabena Awuah Parker I highlights his contributions to community development and his commitment to promoting peace, unity, and cultural preservation within his traditional area.
