For the first time, the Founder, CEO, management, officials, and members of OMJ FOUNDATION—the organisers of the highly anticipated OMJSOCCERFEST—paid tribute to the Okuapehene, Nana Kwasi Akuffo III.
The occasion coincided with the last Awukudae festival of the year, celebrated at the king’s palace in Akropong.
The event attracted a record gathering of dignitaries, ambassadors, community leaders, and political figures.
OMJ FOUNDATION’s over thirty-member delegation was the largest group of visitors at the celebration, joining the Okuapehene in what also serves as a prelude to the opening and festivities of Odwira 2025.
During the visit, Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph, Founder and CEO of OMJ FOUNDATION, was granted the honor of addressing the King.
He commended Nana Kwasi Akuffo III for his exemplary leadership and took the opportunity to introduce the foundation, highlighting its various projects and their positive impact—particularly on the youth of the region.
Mr. Mensah also provided an extensive overview of SOCCERFEST’25 scheduled to be held at Obodan, a presentation that earned enthusiastic applause from attendees.
In line with tradition, OMJ FOUNDATION presented gifts to the Okuapehene, including a specially designed foundation jersey emblazoned with the number 3, symbolizing the King’s name.
As a mark of blessing and endorsement, the Okuapehene autographed the official match ball for the tournament’s kick-off and a special jersey for the MVP, who will be awarded a full scholarship to pursue his football career in Turkey.
The visit underscores OMJ FOUNDATION’s commitment to fostering sports, youth development, and community engagement while honouring local traditions and leadership.
