The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has released first-semester loan payments for the 2025/2026 academic year, benefiting more than 27,000 students across the country.
In a notice shared on its official Facebook page, the Fund disclosed that 27,213 students have received the financial support.
The beneficiaries include both new applicants and continuing students enrolled in various tertiary institutions nationwide.
According to the SLTF, the disbursement is aimed at helping students meet essential academic expenses at the start of the semester. These costs typically include tuition fees, accommodation, and other learning-related needs.
The Fund noted that the early release of the loans is expected to ease the financial burden faced by many students and their families, particularly in the current economic climate.
By supporting both new and continuing beneficiaries, the organisation said it remains committed to its core mandate of improving access to tertiary education for qualified Ghanaian students.
The SLTF further assured the public that it will continue to strengthen its service delivery systems to ensure eligible applicants receive their financial support without unnecessary delays.
