Six people escaped injury following a collision between a Toyota Hilux and an Isuzu truck on the Ntotroso-Kenyasi road in the Ahafo Region.
The accident involved a Toyota Hilux with registration number BR 42-25 and an Isuzu truck bearing registration GB 6529-21.
Asiedu Collins, driver of the Toyota Hilux, told Adom News that five passengers were onboard, travelling from Ntotroso to Kenyasi when the incident occurred.
According to him, the truck driver veered into his lane, leading to the collision that severely damaged the front of his vehicle.
However, Solomon Annin, the truck driver, denied responsibility, stating that the Toyota vehicle struck the side of his truck.
District Crime Officer for Asutifi North Police Command, Paul Quarshie, confirmed that investigations have commenced to determine the cause of the accident.
He added that footage from cameras installed by Newmont Ahafo Mines along the road would aid the inquiry.
Mr. Quarshie also urged both commercial and private drivers to reduce their speed along this stretch to prevent future accidents.
