The Ghana Education Service (GES) has urged parents and students to direct their Senior High School (SHS) placement concerns to district and regional education offices, rather than visiting the national resolution centre.
According to the Head of Public Relations at GES, Daniel Fenyi, the decision aims to reduce congestion and curb potential corruption in the placement process.
“Resolution centres for SHS placement are available in every district and at all regional education offices. We want to reduce the burden on parents and eliminate situations where people spend nights at the national centre,” he explained in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show.
Mr. Fenyi emphasized that all placement-related issues can be addressed at the district or regional level, meaning parents no longer need to travel to Accra.
“This approach will also help us curb the potential exploitation of parents and ensure a smoother, fairer process,” he added.
