The Assembly Member for the Apetenyinase Electoral Area in the Asante Akyem North Municipal District, Hon. Dickson Kwabena Osei, has been found dead at his residence in an incident suspected to be a suicide.
According to information gathered, Mr Osei was discovered hanging in his room earlier today.
Residents who made the discovery promptly alerted the Ghana Police Service. Officers who arrived at the scene secured the area, conducted preliminary investigations, and conveyed the body to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The tragic news has sent shockwaves through the Apetenyinase community, with residents and local leaders expressing deep shock and grief over the sudden loss of the Assembly Member.
