Ghana’s self-styled African Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, has once again flown the country’s flag high on the international stage after clinching two major awards at the 43rd edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in Florida.
The “On God” hitmaker took home the coveted “Best African Dancehall Entertainer” title alongside “Concert of the Year” for his hugely successful ShattaFest concert.
The latest achievement adds another chapter to Shatta Wale’s growing international recognition and further cements his dominance in African dancehall music.
In a statement released by his management, appreciation was extended to the organisers of the IRAWMA Awards for recognising and celebrating African music on the global stage.
The team also showered praise on the ever-loyal Shatta Movement fanbase across the world for their relentless support, votes and dedication throughout the years.
For many fans, the double win is yet another reminder that Shatta Wale remains one of Ghana’s biggest musical exports, continuing to push African dancehall culture beyond borders with his energy, brand and influence.
