Security has been significantly heightened at the Tema Metropolitan Assembly as preparations are underway for the confirmation of the President’s nominee for Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE).
Adom News can report that officers from the Ghana Police Service, some fully armed, have been deployed to maintain law and order at the assembly premises.
The presence of security personnel has created a heavily monitored atmosphere aimed at ensuring a peaceful and orderly confirmation process.
They are also present to witness the confirmation of Ebi Bright, the President’s nominee for the position of MCE for the Tema Metropolitan Assembly.
Entry into the main chamber, where the confirmation is taking place, was strictly controlled, with tight security checks at the entrance.
The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Shai-Osudoku, led a delegation from the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council to oversee the confirmation process.
The heightened security measures reflect the significance of the event and the commitment to ensuring a smooth confirmation.
