Dr. Bernard Addo, is currently the Principal of Vista Academy the top performing middle school in East NY, Brooklyn. For almost 3 decades, Dr. Bernard Addo has been providing excellent education to New York City public school children. He started as a teacher in Brooklyn, NY in 1998. By 2004, he had risen to Assistant Principal then to Principal. Besides his 20 years of school administration and supervision, he continues to collaborate with elected officials and corporate sponsors to bring resources to public school children. The organizers of the awards indicated that, Dr. Bernard Addo had already partnered with Verizon to get wifi enabled laptops to all students to bridge the gap between home and school even before the outbreak of Covid -19 which popularized virtual learning. 'Dr. Addo partnered with Food Bank NYC to bring monthly food distribution to his school community. This initiative has helped many average students in public schools. We're convinced that such innovation must be acknowledged in the interest of holistic education' Organizers noted. On his Part, Dr. Bernard Addo expressed his appreciation to the organizers of the events for recognizing his service to humanity. 'We love what we do, and we do it with passion. I least expected that people at places has got their eyes on me. This recognition serves as a reminder for me. That I need to illuminate my corner' Dr. Bernard Addo noted. Several Ghanaians changing lifes through their carriers were also awarded at the event including the Legendary Amakye Dede who later served the audience with some memorable renditions.  End
