Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Steve Pollack believes his side could have scored more goals against Medeama SC.
The Porcupine Warriors defeated Medeama Soccer Club by 3:1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the match day 21 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
Evans Quao, Ahmed Adams and Sadick Adams banged in the goals for the Reds to ensure Steve Pollack continue his impressive run at the club.
Evans Quao shot the host in front before Ahmed Adams doubled the Porcupine warriors lead to the disadvantage of the visiting team. Striker Sadick Adams scored an astonishing free kick to give Kotoko a commanding 3-0 lead before Bismark Oppong scored a consolation for Medeama on stoppage time.
Speaking to the press after the match, Pollack said, “I think we played well today but we could have been up by ‘five goals’ but we missed lots of chances.
“We weren’t releasing the ball very fast but the second half was a little bit better because we got the ball moving quicker”.
“I am happy we got all the three points which is the most important thing”. He added.
The victory against the Tarkwa based club has pushed the Warriors to the 3rd position with 35 points and will play Inter Allies on Thursday in the match day 22 fixture of the GPL.
