Both parliamentary candidates in the hotly contested Ablekuma North constituency were seen on the ground on Thursday, July 10, making a final push ahead of Friday’s rerun election.
In a display of political energy, supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flooded the streets, as their respective candidates crisscrossed communities to galvanise last-minute support.
Meanwhile, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma North, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie, has firmly stated her intention to contest in the upcoming rerun despite the party’s official decision not to participate.
