Sam George demands apology, retraction from NPP activist over alleged Lexus gift

The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, is demanding an apology and retraction from New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist P.K. Sarpong over allegations that he received a Lexus vehicle as a gift.

In a Facebook post, P.K. Sarpong shared a video of Mr. George in a convoy, claiming the vehicle was a gift—an act that would be in breach of President John Mahama’s recently launched Code of Conduct for appointees.

The Code, unveiled on May 5, 2025, prohibits government officials from accepting gifts, citing concerns about compromised integrity.

However, the Ningo-Prampram MP, through his lawyers, has vehemently denied the claim, describing it as “categorically false.”
