Sabahn Quaye urges Hearts of Oak fans to unite for club’s revival

Former Hearts of Oak Team Manager Sabahn Quaye has called on the club’s supporters to unite and help restore the team’s former glory.

The Phobians have struggled to regain their winning form following the departure of Samuel Boadu, who led the side to five trophies during his tenure.

In a candid interview on Adom TV’s Fire for Fire show, Quaye expressed concern that fan disunity is hindering the club’s progress.

“In every team, the supporters play a vital role in the club’s growth. But at Accra Hearts of Oak, the supporters are draining the energy of the club,” the former Black Stars Team Manager said.

While acknowledging valid criticisms of the club’s leadership, Quaye stressed that fans must also take responsibility for their own divisions and internal wrangling.

“Supporters often blame the Board Members, but there is no unity among themselves. They need to come together and stop the endless blaming of the board,” he urged.

Hearts of Oak recently appointed Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as head coach on a two-year contract as part of efforts to revive the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
