Robbers break into church at Achinakrom, bolt with musical instruments

Robbers have allegedly broken into the Symbols Yehweh International Church at Achinakrom in the Ejisu municipality of Ashanti region to steal.

They bolted with all service items, including musical instruments and other electronic gadgets.

Head Pastor of the Church, Rev. Richard Antwi, says they realized the burglary when members arrived for Tuesday evening service.

“Living here has become difficult because most of the young boys here don’t like working and are involved in criminalities,” he said.

According to him, this is not the first time such an act is happening. Most churches in the area have been under such criminal ordeal on several occasions.

“I just established this church less than a month ago and they have come to steal all our items, we are calling on the Ejisu police command to beef up security in our area,” he said.

Some of the residents at Achinakrom expressed their displeasure at the spate of insecurity in the area.

“We can’t walk in the night; the robber will smash your phone and run away,” he said.
