Rev Obofour announces funeral arrangement for mother

Founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev. Obofour, has announced the funeral arrangements for his late mother, Nana Afia Pokuaa.

The late Madam Pokuaa will be laid to rest in a series of ceremonies scheduled to take place in Kumasi.

According to the family, the funeral activities will begin with a memorial night on Friday, 30th May 2025, at the Anointed Palace Mission House located at IPT Asuoyeboah in Kumasi, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The laying in state will be held at the same venue the following morning, Saturday, 31st May, from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., followed by a burial service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A private interment will take place thereafter.

The final funeral rites will be observed later that day at the 4BN Officers’ Mess at Danyame Ridge in Kumasi, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday, 1st June 2025, at the Anointed Palace Chapel premises, also at IPT Asuoyeboah, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by a family gathering at the same location from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.

The prescribed attire for Saturday is black and red, while sympathizers are expected to wear black and white on Sunday.

Madam Nana Afia Pokuaa is survived by her six children, siblings, and 22 grandchildren.

The family has called on friends, loved ones, and members of the Christian community to join them in honoring the memory of their beloved matriarch.
