Apostle Abraham Lincoln Larbi, one of the leaders of a protest calling for the removal of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, says his actions are not politically motivated.

According to him, his campaign is driven solely by his belief that the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has become “a waste of state resources.”

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Apostle Lincoln argued that Mr. Agyebeng has failed to successfully prosecute any major case since assuming office.

He cited the case involving Mustapha Hamid, claiming the OSP repeatedly changed the charge sheet, which in his view reflects inefficiency.

He stressed that no political party or politician is sponsoring his activism, adding that despite facing frustrations, he remained determined to go ahead with the protest.

“Kissi Agyebeng should be removed, and the office of the Special Prosecutor should be dissolved or reformed. The entire office needs to be restructured. Has he been able to successfully finish a case? For instance, in the Mustapha Hamid case, the OSP keeps changing the charge sheet. As a citizen, I am not impressed by his work so far; that is my petition. If the president wants to keep him in office, I am okay with that.

“My demonstration is not motivated by a political party or politician. Just because I supported the party doesn’t mean I believe in injustice or fighting corruption. No politician has given me a dime. I almost gave up organizing this cause due to the frustration, but I didn’t. My confidence is my strength, so let’s fight,” he said.

Apostle Lincoln, together with private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu and other citizens, led a demonstration in Accra demanding the Special Prosecutor’s removal, insisting that the fight against corruption must be taken more seriously.
