Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a summer move for highly-rated Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei Oppong.

The 20-year-old, who extended his contract with Granada in 2023 until 2026, has attracted interest from Real Madrid’s Castilla team following a standout campaign in the Spanish Segunda División.

According to Marca, Castilla head coach Álvaro Arbeloa has personally recommended Oppong as a potential addition to strengthen the squad.

Granada are said to be open to negotiations, with the possible transfer fee estimated between €450,000 and €1 million.

Oppong made his senior debut in October 2024 against Levante UD and has since made nine league appearances in La Liga 2, in addition to a Copa del Rey outing.

Though relatively new to senior football, his consistent performances have caught the eye of scouts from the reigning Spanish champions.

Further boosting his profile, Oppong has received a call-up to Ghana’s U20 national team ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone A and B tournaments scheduled for later this year.
