Questions raised over police handling of BCM Spintex Facility dispute

Concerns have been raised about the handling of a recent incident at BCM Ghana Limited’s Spintex facility, an issue that continues to add complexity to the company’s ongoing legal and corporate challenges.

Weeks after BCM submitted a petition to the Ghana Police Service regarding what it described as an “attack” and attempted dismantling of its equipment, the company says it has not received formal feedback or witnessed visible action.

The petition, according to company representatives, is linked to a long-running dispute over BCM’s assets.

Sources close to BCM expressed worry that law enforcement’s response has not been decisive, and claimed that police officers on the scene did not adequately secure the company’s property.

The Ghana Police Service has also not publicly commented on the matter.

Legal and industry observers note that the police’s silence could feed perceptions of bias, potentially affecting public trust in the service while tensions in the BCM dispute remain unresolved.
