The Queen Mother of Offinso, Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III, has commended Nhyira FM’s Obra Show for its relentless efforts in seeking justice, especially for vulnerable women across Ghana.
During a royal visit to her palace by the Obra team, led by Ohemaa Benewaa, after a successful outdoor broadcast in the Offinso community, the Queen Mother passionately urged the team not to relent in their mission.
“I urge you to do well to solve the problems of the women who run to you during your programs,” she said.
“Many women are suffering injustices at the hands of men, and they need your help. Some need legal support, others need DNA tests to compel men to take responsibility for their children — don’t turn them away,” she entreated.
According to her, many individuals have no voice or defender, but the Obra Show has become a beacon of hope for the oppressed, especially women facing abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
The Obra Outdoor Program, which seeks to take the show out of the studio and into communities across Ghana, made a remarkable stop at Offinso. The event featured a lively cooking competition among various denominations in the community, drawing huge crowds and excitement.
In a generous gesture, the Obra team donated large bags of clothing to be distributed by the Queen Mother to those in need. They also provided bundles of school uniforms for children who lack proper attire for school.
Ohemaa Benewaa, Host of the Show, reaffirmed the team’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged.
“This is just the beginning,” she said. “We will continue to reach every corner of Ghana to support the needy and ensure that justice is served where it is due.”
The Obra Show, known for its powerful real-life stories and social interventions, continues to grow in impact and reach, winning the hearts of many Ghanaians, one community at a time.
