Private Employment Agencies support Nima Police with 100 chairs

The Ghana Association of Private Employment Agencies (GHAPEA) has donated 100 plastic chairs to the Nima Police Criminal Clearance Section, Headquarters Annex, to improve service delivery for the public.

Speaking at the presentation, GHAPEA Executive Member Abdul Rasheed Mohammed said the donation is part of their corporate social responsibility as citizens.

“We believe the Police play a critical role in ensuring safety and order. This is just the first phase of our support, and we are prepared to assist them in any way we can in the coming days,” he stated.

The donation will primarily benefit the waiting area, where applicants are served as part of the division’s important work conducting background checks and issuing police clearance certificates.

These certificates confirm an individual’s criminal record status and are often required for visa applications, employment, and other legal processes.

He encouraged others to also support the Ghana Police Service.

“Government is doing its part, but we as citizens and organizations must also step up to help the Police serve us better,” he urged.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ASP) Richlove Afoakwa expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture.

“This kind gesture will go a long way to improve our work environment and the comfort of the public we serve. We are truly grateful for your support,” she said.
