Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito says he is fully aware of the expectations on his shoulders as the club prepares to kick off the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors will open their campaign against Berekum Chelsea on Saturday, September 13, at the Golden City Park, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
Zito admitted that Kotoko’s hectic off-season, which allowed little rest for the players, presents a challenge.
However, he stressed that the team must rise to the occasion and compete for the title after finishing third in the league last season.
“This is my third spell with Kotoko, so I know what is at stake. We have to work hard to achieve our goals because Kotoko is a club that cannot settle for anything less than a win. We will do our best,” Zito told the club’s media team.
