President Mahama swears in Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe as Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain

President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in Mrs. Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe as Ghana’s Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom of Spain.

The swearing-in ceremony, held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, tasked Mrs. Baffoe with strengthening diplomatic, trade, and tourism relations between the two nations.

She takes over from H.E. Regina Appiah-Samacy from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and a first degree in Public Service and Governance from the same institution.

In his remarks, President Mahama encouraged Mrs. Baffoe to leverage her experience, education, and networks to foster mutual growth and understanding between the countries.

The 58-year-old former actress holds a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a first degree in Public Service and Governance from the same institution.

Mrs. Baffoe’s transition from the entertainment industry to a prominent diplomatic role highlights the recognition of diverse talents capable of representing Ghana on the global stage.
