
President John Mahama, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, officially swore in the final batch of Deputy Ministers, in accordance with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
This followed their approval by Parliament after undergoing a rigorous vetting process. All four appointees are current Members of Parliament.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House, signified the formal commencement of their duties in key sectors of government.
The newly appointed Deputy Ministers include:

Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro – Deputy Minister for Transport

James Gyakye Quayson – Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs

Mohammed Adam Sukparu – Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation

Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah – Deputy Minister for Health
In his address, President Mahama urged the appointees to serve with integrity, commitment, and a results-oriented mindset.
He also stressed the importance of teamwork between ministers and their deputies to effectively drive the government’s development agenda.
