The Ghana Police Service in the Upper West Region has launched a full-scale investigation into the suspected murder of a night security guard in Wa.
The deceased, identified as 55-year-old Yahaya Issah, popularly known in the community as “Soja,” was found dead under disturbing circumstances in the early hours of Sunday.
His body was discovered along the Wa-Dori stretch near the new market with visible injuries to his head and face, along with bloodstains that suggest foul play.
In a statement, the Deputy Regional Police Commander, ACP Peter Kamasa, confirmed that a team had been deployed to collect evidence from the scene.
The police have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to support the ongoing investigation.
Authorities further assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice is served and peace in the area is maintained.
