The Ghana Police Service has arrested Samuel Obeng Acheampong, the man featured in a viral video administering a substance suspected to be a cigarette to a child.
The arrest was made on 22nd November 2025 through an intelligence-led operation.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to the offence, revealing that the incident took place approximately five years ago.
Samuel Obeng Acheampong remains in police custody, assisting with the ongoing investigation, and will be brought before the court to face charges.
The Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to protecting children from harm, cautioning the public against actions that endanger minors.
Authorities emphasized that perpetrators who expose children to danger will be thoroughly investigated and brought to justice.
