The Ghana women’s national football team have kicked off preparations in Sharjah ahead of the upcoming Pink Ladies Cup, with all 25 invited players declared fit and available for selection.

Training got underway at the Al-Hamriyah Sports Club in a focused yet spirited atmosphere, as the entire squad took part in what marked a promising start to their build-up for the four-nation tournament.

With nearly a full complement of players in camp, the technical team was able to conduct comprehensive tactical sessions, competitive in-house drills and detailed positional exercises.

Proceedings began with warm-up and conditioning work supervised by athletics coach Jordan Daitey, before transitioning into structured tactical shape drills and ball-retention exercises.

Ghana will open their campaign against Hong Kong on February 28, face Russia on March 3, and conclude the tournament against Tanzania on March 6.

The competition is expected to provide head coach Kim Lars Björkegren with a valuable platform to fine-tune his squad, sharpen tactical approaches and assess his options ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
