PHOTOS: MP commissions Dam for constituents

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkwanta North Constituency in the Volta Region, John Oti Bless, has commissioned a Dam for residents of Sibi Central and Hill Top in his constituency.
The project which was funded partly with the MP’s share of the Common Fund and the MP’s personal donation, is meant to help solve the acute water problem being faced by the residents of the two communities.
The dam which  was constructed within 10 days will also help farmers have access to water for irrigation purposes.
“It cost GH₵ 30,000 to construct the dam; it forms part of my bigger dream of ensuring that residents in part of the constituency where there is water crisis have access to clean water by 2020”, he said.

The MP who commissioned the project over the weekend said the dam was going to last a period of 10 to 15 years after which major repair works will have to be done on it.
The former Deputy Minister urged the chiefs and people of Sibi Central and Hill Top to take very good care of the dam.
