A gory accident at Tabuom on the Techiman- Kintampo highway in the Bono East region has claimed the lives of eight people.
Information gathered suggested that the accident occurred when a Mercedes Benz truck with registration number AS 9554-G and a taxi with the registration number BA 1356-P collided head-on on Friday afternoon.
Confirming the incident to Adom News, the Bono East Motor, Traffic and Transport Department Regional Commander, ASP Andrews Okonengye said the Mercedes Benz truck was conveying school desks when it collided head-on with the taxi with passengers travelling from Kranka in the Nkoranza North district to Techiman.
The bodies have been sent to the mortuary.
