Motorcycle robber crashed to death

A young man, believed to be in his thirties, has crushed to death at Tinga in the Bole District of the Northern Region while escaping towards the southern sector with a motorcycle he stole.

Reports indicate that the robber, who is yet-to-be identified, was chased by the police after he refused to stop at the Tinga police checkpoint when directed by the officers.

According to Sergeant Kwame Asamoah, the deceased sped off but just about two metres from the barrier, they found him lying lifeless.

He was rushed to the Tinga clinic where he was pronounced dead and is currently at the Bole district hospital mortuary.

The police are urging the public to help identify the body.
