A philanthropist, with the support of the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, has donated food items to 285 widows in the Ahafo Region, bringing relief and smiles to their faces.

The presentation, held in Goaso, saw the widows receive bags of rice, bottles of cooking oil, and canned fish.

Speaking to Adom News, the philanthropist, Eric Annor Boateng, said the initiative—supported by Alhaji Collins Dauda, his brother Naaba Abdulai, and the Queen Mother of Goaso, Nana Afia Serwaa—was meant to assure the widows that they have not been forgotten despite the challenges they face.

He added that supporting widows remains close to his heart and pledged to continue extending assistance to those experiencing hardship in the region.

Mr. Boateng also appealed to well-meaning individuals and financially capable persons to support widows and orphans in their communities.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Ama Cynthia and Grace Mensah, expressed gratitude for the gesture and called for continued support to help ease the difficulties they endure.
