Ghanaian musician Patapaa Amisty has been struck by heartbreaking news following the death of his mother, Madam Ekua Boatema, popularly known as Boat.
The sorrowful announcement included details of her one-week observance, scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The ceremony will take place at Assisim, near Duke’s Filling Station in Agona Swedru, beginning at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
In an emotional tribute, the “One Corner” hitmaker described his late mother as his love, his world, and his everything.
“My heart is heavy. My love, my mother, and my world. Rest in perfect peace till we meet in heaven again,” Patapaa wrote.
Madam Ekua Boatema’s passing has drawn sympathy from fans, colleagues in the entertainment industry, and members of the public, many of whom have taken to social media to console the musician during this difficult time.
Details of the final funeral rites are yet to be announced by the family.
