Police have arrested a self-proclaimed pastor, Major Wisdom Nutsugah, at Gomoa Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region for allegedly conducting rituals involving six men.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly lured the victims to his home under the pretext of a meeting and forced them, all of whom he had previously gifted motorbikes, to strip naked and perform rituals.
Sources indicate that the pastor, along with three junior pastors, allegedly gave the victims a suspicious substance and compelled them to eat toffees taken from a pot containing blood.
The victims claimed the pastor threatened to harm them if they refused to comply.
One of the victims managed to escape and reported the incident to the Buduburam Police, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The suspect is currently in police custody at the Kasoa Divisional Command to assist with ongoing investigations.
Speaking to Adom News, the Assemblyman for the Buduburam Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbe, condemned the act and urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served if the suspect is found guilty.
