The P.K Appiah Foundation has commissioned and handed over a Tuberculosis Control Unit to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
The founder, Prosper Kwame Appiah led the presentation on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Speaking at a short ceremony, Naval captain Harriet Manu, in charge of Public Health at 37 Hospital expressed gratitude to Mr. Appiah for the kind gesture.
She acknowledged that the unit will help address more cases on Tuberculosis reported at the facility.
Naval Captain Manu revealed that the hospital recorded 144 cases of tuberculosis and dealt with 80 percent of them.
The building consist of a screening, Diagnostic and treatment care unit.
For his part, Mr. Appiah in an interview with Adom News said he was touched by call from Naval Captain Manu to put up structure to improve health of Ghanaians.
