
The general manager of Pure Fm, Kwame Adinkra has revealed that the station’s studio, which was gutted by fire yesterday, was given a face lift six months ago to commemorate their five-year anniversary.
According to him, the Oxygen 4 type of console costing ¢150,000, together with other studio equipment, was destroyed.
Speaking to Adom news, he said the company have been delt by a big blow and has urged all commercial clients to exercise patients for them in the meantime
The devastating fire destroyed all the equipment in the production room as the studio went into flames.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening around 8: 00pm pm while the station was airing their evening drive
“The DJ initially attempted to extinguish the flames using a fire extinguisher in the studio, but the blaze spread rapidly due to the presence of flammable materials.”
The electricity company of Ashanti west Region has released an empathy press statement to pure fm.
According to them they are shocked and deeply saddened by fire outbreak that gutted the building and studio of Pure FM.
