Otto Addo is set to name his squad for the Ghana national football team ahead of two high-profile international friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month.

The matches form part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.

Ghana will first take on Austria on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. The match is scheduled to kick off at 17:00 GMT.

Following that encounter, Addo and his squad will travel to Germany for their second friendly, where the four-time African champions will face the 2014 world champions on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart.

The Black Stars’ technical team is expected to announce a strong squad in the coming days as preparations intensify for the global tournament.

Ghana will continue their build-up with another friendly against Mexico in May before concluding their preparations with a clash against Wales on June 2.

Making their fifth appearance at the World Cup, Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia.

The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 before facing England on June 23. They will round off their group-stage fixtures with a meeting against Croatia on June 27.

After suffering group-stage exits at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana will be aiming for a more impressive showing on North American soil.
