Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has held fruitful discussions with Thomas Partey as Ghana intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The meeting took place in Spain on Wednesday, just hours before Villarreal’s UEFA Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
Partey’s engagement with Addo forms part of a broader initiative aimed at strengthening cohesion and reinforcing shared commitment within the national team.
Addo has been touring Europe to observe Ghanaian players at close range and engage with them directly as he prepares the Black Stars for the World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer.
In recent weeks, the coach has also met with several key squad members, including Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Mohamed Salisu, Ernest Nuamah, Abdul Mumin, and Mohammed Kudus.
Partey, who is expected to leave Villarreal at the end of the season, later featured in the Champions League encounter, coming on at the start of the second half as his side suffered a 3-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 World Cup alongside Panama, England, and Croatia.
