The Western Regional Police Command has arrested one suspect in connection with a gold shop robbery in the Mpohor District on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
According to police, a gang of armed robbers stormed a gold-buying shop, made away with an unspecified amount of money, and injured one person during the attack.
The injured victim is currently receiving treatment and is said to be responding well.
Police said the arrested suspect is assisting with investigations, while a manhunt has been launched to track down the remaining members of the gang.
The Command assured the public that every effort is being made to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they face justice.
